Hey, I'm Gunjan Kale.
Curious by nature, creative by instinct, and obsessed with solving real problems. I design thoughtful digital experiences that make complex things feel simple.

Years experience
Automotive, agriculture, enterprise and connected products.
Flagship products
Shipped to riders, dealers and designers across two continents.
Points of lead generation
Global Dealer Locator, Nov 2025 to Jul 2026.
Peak customer satisfaction
Suzuki Ride Connect, up from 3.9 before the redesign.
Selected work. And what changed after.
Two connected-mobility apps, one global customer platform, and the design system underneath a lot of it. Every number came from the business, not from me.
Turning dealer discovery into demand
Sole designer on a 9-person team, rebuilding how customers on deere.com find the right dealer — and actually reach out.
Rebuilding a connected ride, first tap onward
End-to-end redesign across Android and iOS — onboarding, pairing, and everything that happens when pairing fails.
Nobody reads the manual. So I removed it
Multiple cluster types, two platforms, one Apple privacy detour — replaced with guidance that shows the actual action.
Components that design for other designers
Navigation Tiles, a Media Gallery handling images, video and 360° views, and PDP patterns — built as configurable infrastructure.
Gunjan Kale
Currently designing meaningful, seamless experiences and solving real user problems.
I enjoy digging into complex problems, understanding what users are actually struggling with, and turning those insights into experiences that feel intuitive.
My superpowers
The five things teams actually call me for.
Finding friction
Spotting the “wait… what do I do now?” moments in a user journey.
Making complexity feel simple
Turning complicated flows, systems and processes into clearer experiences.
Connecting with people
Listening, asking the right questions, finding the problem behind the problem.
Turning insights into action
Moving from research and feedback to design decisions a team can build.
Designing beyond screens
Systems, interactions, edge cases and what happens long after handoff.
- CuriousI like asking why.
- EmpatheticBecause products are ultimately used by people.
- CreativeI enjoy exploring more than one way to solve a problem.
- StructuredEven the fun ideas need a system.
- Always learningNew technology? I'm already clicking on it.
“Will probably analyse the café experience before I even get my chai.”
Seven years, read as a roadmap.
Each stop added a constraint I hadn't designed around before: scale, then hardware, then platform rules, then an entire organisation's design language.
Tech Mahindra
Foundations: interfaces, flows, and the habit of asking what happens when the happy path doesn't.
Cognizant
Bigger surfaces, more stakeholders, and real practice defending a design decision with evidence.
KPIT Technologies
Two-wheelers, motorcycles, clusters and pairing. Design where hardware, platform and rider all get a vote.
John Deere
Sole designer on a global customer platform, and a contributor to the design system the organisation builds on.
Still in progress — currently most interested in roles where research and business outcomes sit in the same conversation.
What it's like to work with me.
Unedited feedback from the people I ship with — managers, developers and design partners.
Gunjan has consistently demonstrated strong ownership and professionalism across the initiatives we have worked on together. She is diligent in maintaining design documentation, ensuring requirements, user flows, design decisions and handoff artifacts are well organised and accessible to both design and development teams.
I interacted with Gunjan on several workstreams, including the Media Gallery and Dealer Card projects. She has been highly cooperative and supportive throughout our collaborations. In addition to her primary responsibilities, she willingly handed off extra items such as thumbnail states and icon states, which helped keep the work moving smoothly.
Gunjan has also been very helpful in walking me through design details and ensuring clarity on requirements. Her timely review comments and responsiveness enabled quick iterations and efficient progress.
Gunjan is a dependable team member who brings a positive and collaborative approach to her work. She is easy to work with, open to feedback, and demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and adapt. Her growth in design tools, processes and cross-functional collaboration has been evident, and she has established a solid foundation as a UX professional.
With continued focus on strategic thinking, stakeholder influence and proactive leadership, I believe she has strong potential to take on greater ownership and expand her impact across multiple products.
Before we startQuestions people ask me in the first call
Do you only design screens? +
No. Most of my value shows up before the screens: audits, interviews, review analysis, behavioural data and flow studies. On Global Dealer Locator the biggest wins came from fixing missing states and unclear feedback — things you only find by looking at how people actually behave.
How do you measure whether a design worked? +
Whatever the business already measures. Lead generation on GDL, CSAT on Suzuki and Triumph, plus qualitative signals like frustration trends and review themes. If there's no verified number, I say so rather than inventing one.
What do you need from a team to do your best work? +
Access to real users or real feedback, whatever analytics exist, and developers I can talk to early. I work closely with engineering and QA — including teaching Figma Dev Mode and design-system usage — because handover is where good design usually dies.
Can you work inside an existing design system? +
I build them. At John Deere I contribute components to the central system — Navigation Tiles, Media Gallery, PDP patterns — designed with variants, properties and toggles so other designers configure instead of rebuild.
What kind of role are you looking for? +
Senior product or UX design, on a product with real complexity behind it — connected hardware, enterprise workflows, or a platform where the business outcome is measurable. Remote, hybrid or relocation all work.
Current side quests.
The parts that keep the rest of it working: repetition, rhythm, and a chai that has gone cold because an idea showed up.

Dancing
When I'm not moving pixels, I'm moving myself.
Mandala art
Patterns, patience and possibly an unhealthy love for symmetry.
Cafés & chai
Because sometimes the best ideas start with a good cup of chai.
Creating content
Experimenting well outside the design world.
Learning new tech
Because curiosity doesn't have an off switch.
Got a messy problem?
Let's make it obvious.
Open to senior product and UX design roles, and happy to talk through a problem even if there's no role attached to it yet.
